Summer 2013 - Part One

Traveling

New activity/sticker books help pass the time waiting for departure

So do new DS games

Chauffeur-assisted airport transportation

On our way!

Dramamine rocks!

Visiting the dentist (isn't that what EVERYONE does on summer vacations?!)

Her first dentist appointment

He's an old pro by now

Playgrounds

Indoor arcades

Around town

'Story-telling time at the library' turned into 'butter-churning time at the library'. Only in the Midwest!

Random fun stuff

Mr T and Grandma making desserts for the family BBQ

(Kitty Kat helped in her own way....by staying OUT OF the way)

I made a 'wedding cake' for Aunt Naughty since I won't be able to be at the big day. Surprises are fun!

For the upcoming 'Cardboard Boat Race' with Grandpa and Mr T. Seriously. This should be good!

Prepping corn with Grandma for 'BLT's and sweetcorn dinner'. Mmmmmmm, BLT's and sweetsorn.

Amusement park day

This is the kind of ride that spins around so fast the floor drops out and you're left stuck to the wall. I initially took him up just to WATCH the other kids, he decided to ride it......twice........in a row. Afterwards, he didn't feel all that great. Hmmmmmmm, no sh** Sherlock! But fresh air, Skee-Ball, and a lemonade slushy soon fixed everything.

Kitty Kat didn't get to go to the amusement park (10 hours in 93F/34C heat with a 3-year-old? no thanks!) so Grandma took her to Build-a-Bear for their special Grandma Day instead. No surprises she came back with a purple-and-pink sparkly Hello Kitty, and sooooo in love with it.

Lots and lots and lots of time at the swimming pool

Yup, our swimming pools have corn fields on the other side of the fence. Seriously.

Don't be fooled by the clouds....97F/36C and darn toasty!

Bye bye, Daddy   :-(

Two weeks down, (nearly)four more to go. Summer 2013, woo hoo!!!
