After reading this article, I don't feel like quite such a big loser that we're not getting any of the 2012 London Olympic tickets we were hoping for. And as none of the remaining tickets are for any events we're interested in paying a month's salary for, it's becoming increasingly clear that we will not be going to the Olympics that are (virtually) on our back doorstep.
Which is ok, because it means we can save a lot more money for bigger things, like a deposit on some future wonderful house, or some fabulous no-children-allowed vacation to some far-off destination. There are plenty of amazing things we'll be able to do with the money we're not spending on going to the Olympics.
But let's be honest; it still pretty much sucks.
:-(
